Our Commitment to Child Safety

Humm has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We are committed to maintaining a safe platform that protects children and prevents any form of child abuse material or exploitation.

1. Age Restrictions

Humm is exclusively for adults 18 years and older.

  • Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to use our service
  • Date of birth is required during account creation
  • Users must authenticate via Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In

2. Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

We strictly prohibit:

  • Any child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Content that sexualizes minors
  • Content that facilitates, encourages, or glorifies child exploitation
  • Solicitation or grooming of minors
  • Any attempt to use our platform to contact or exploit children

Consequence: Immediate and permanent account termination and reporting to authorities.

3. Age Verification Measures

To ensure our platform remains 18+, we implement:

Account Creation:

  • Users must provide date of birth during onboarding
  • Authentication via Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In (verified email accounts)
  • Age is automatically calculated from date of birth

Account Enforcement:

  • Users who report underage accounts trigger investigation
  • Confirmed underage accounts are permanently banned and deleted
  • All associated data is removed from our systems

4. User Reporting System

In-App Reporting:

  • Report button available on every user profile
  • Report option in all message threads
  • Specific report category: "Underage user"
  • Additional report categories: "Inappropriate content," "Harassment or bullying," "Fake profile," "Spam or scam," and "Other"

How to Report:

  1. Open any user's profile or message
  2. Tap the menu (three dots)
  3. Select "Report"
  4. Choose reason (including "Underage user" option)
  5. Add optional details
  6. Submit report

What Happens After You Report:

  • Report is submitted to our team for review
  • User account is reviewed based on report severity
  • Appropriate action is taken (warning, suspension, or permanent ban)
  • Confirmed violations result in immediate account termination

5. Blocking & Safety Features

Built-in Safety Features:

  • Block Feature: Users can block and report other users simultaneously
  • Report & Block: Combined action available in profile and message screens
  • Privacy by Design: Photos are masked by default until connections are established

6. Law Enforcement Cooperation

We cooperate with authorities:

  • We comply with all legal requirements and valid law enforcement requests
  • We will report suspected CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) if detected
  • We preserve evidence for criminal investigations when legally required
  • We respond to valid subpoenas and court orders

7. Account Termination & Enforcement

Permanent Ban for:

  • Posting or sharing child sexual abuse material
  • Attempting to contact or solicit minors
  • Misrepresenting age to access the platform
  • Any content sexualizing minors

Enforcement System:

  • Banned users cannot log back in (authentication-level ban)
  • All user data is permanently deleted
  • Audit records are maintained for fraud prevention and legal compliance
  • No appeals for child safety violations

8. Data Deletion

If a Minor Account is Discovered:

  • Immediate permanent account ban
  • All user data deleted from our database
  • All photos removed from storage (Cloudflare R2)
  • Chat sessions and messages deleted
  • Audit record created for compliance
